This Week In Shoes

woodshoesMore appropriate as a mantelpiece than on your feet, are the wood wedges by Jill Sander for just $1,240, you know, chunk change. The laser cut leather looks intricately delicate, I would be scared there wouldn’t be much left of it at the end of the day. The shoes are also very organic looking. I wonder if I plant this in my yard, if I’ll have a shoe by the end of the year. My tree would blossom with the perfect heels every (growing) season. What a world it would be…

colorblock

I adore these Balenciaga heeled loafers, with the geometric design. The colors, the croc, the shapes, the combination just works so perfectly. This shoe would make great friends with the heels on my closet. Hey Balenciaga, want to send me a pair for a play date? What makes this shoe great is how they can vamp up an average day outfit. You can pair them with cuffed boyfriend jeans and a plain white T-shirt, and you’re still a looker. Heels have always been the standard for nights out, but girls, don’t be afraid to take them out during the day. Let heels see the light of day!

mohawk

Ooh, the YSL shoes from their Fall 2010 shows. Stunners, aren’t they? The fringe adds great flair to these pumps, and the cobalt blue is just so right. Yves Saint Laurent always has great shapes for their shoes, have you noticed? The not too round, not too pointy toe shape, the perfect heel hight, the right amount of platform. Even though this shoe is sporting a mo-hawk, it should be called the mullet shoe because it’s all business in the front, party in the back.

loubis

No, you’re not imagining anything, these Loubitons are as beautiful as they look. Take a deep breath! It took me about a full two minutes to recover from my panic attack after viewing these. It’s a big deal to see the most beautiful shoes, don’t judge! The shoes here are the Loubitons designed for 3.1 Philip Lim. They were also shown in maroon and black, but these are beyond my fave. Buckles+Tassels+Ruffles+Grommets=The Perfect Shoe.

What were your favorite shoes from this season?
